Breakers College Recruiting Program

We are excited to announce the roll out of the Breakers College Recruiting Program for the upcoming 2020-2021 season. The recruiting program will be comprised of the following components and is available to every Breakers high school player and is included in your registration:

  1. Two-part recruiting seminar series 
  2. Individual research, preparation and outreach strategy ( RECRUITING GUIDE - must be logged in)
  3. Participation in team recruiting tournaments (with Breakers) and individual recruiting showcases (e.g. Diamond Series Showcases)
  4. Recruiting Advisory Board that will assist with player evaluation and player/coach communications
  5. Academic Plan: SAT/PSAT Prep Classes offered by our partner, Simplify Enrichment

Breakers Recruiting Advisory Board

The Recruiting Advisory Board's objective is to help guide the Breakers recruiting strategy/philosophy, evaluate players on-field and though highlight film and help provide guidance to Breakers Head Coaches and families on where they see the best "fit" for a prospective student-athletes based on lacrosse ability, academic profile, personal preference, and other important factors. The purpose of the advisory board will be to provide constructive feedback to assist in the recruiting process and help players achieve positive outcomes. In addition, the Advisory board will assist with college coach communication as needed and appropriate. The Breakers Recruiting Board will consist of the following members for 2021:

  • Michael Cooke - Breakers President
  • Scott Plasse - Current Assistant Coach at Wilmington University in DE. Also coached at Mt. St. Mary's, Friends High School, Dulaney High School, Oakland Mills. Another new addition to the Breakers 2023 Coaching staff.
  • Jim Griffin - Former College Head Coach at York College, Chowan University, and Post University. Currently Breakers 2024 Assistant Coach.
  • Seth Jacoby - Division III National Director and Director of New England South for 3d Lacrosse.
