College Recruiting Seminars

Recruiting Seminar Series #1: Sunday September 29, 2019  9:30-11am @ RPCS

This will take place immediately after our 8am practice on Sunday September 29 th and is mandatory for any player that is interested in playing college lacrosse at any level. For Breakers to be able to support and guide you in the recruiting process, this session will be needed to equip you with the basic info needed to guide your recruiting efforts for the upcoming year.


Seminar Host: We thrilled to announce Coach Brian Hemming as College Recruiting Advisor for Breakers Lacrosse Club. Coach Hemming most recently served at the Director of Lacrosse Operations for Towson University Mens team. Coach Hemmings prior lacrosse coaching experience includes some of the top college and high school programs in the country: Woodberry Forest School (Varsity Lacrosse Coach & Athletic Director), Hamden-Sydney College, Lynchburg College, Virginia Episcopal School and The Potomac School. Having held leadership positions at both the high school and college levels, Coach Hemming is the ideal person to help our Breakers families navigate the recruiting process. Details:

  • Day: Sunday September 29, 2019
  • Location: Roland Park Country School Conference Room
  • Time: 9:30am -11:00am (will start as soon as practice ends and run for 1.5 hrs)
  • Attendees: All Breakers 2021, 2022, 2023 players, parents (at least one parent representative per child is recommended) and coaches
  • Refreshments: Coffee and Donuts will be provided.
  • Dress Code: Casual. Players will just wear practice clothes and sneakers.
  • Topics Include: Introduction to Recruiting Process, Recruiting Calendars & Compliance Rules, College Placement Testing, Coach Communication and Organization, Do's and Don'ts (parents and players), College Evaluation and Selection.


Future Seminar Dates and Locations

To be determined. Will take place in January 2020 and May 2020. Will cover the following topics throughout the year: Exercise & Nutrition, Injury Prevention, Off-season and in-season training, how to get recruited, on- and off-the-field advise from college coaches, recruiting film and digital recruiting profiles, college application process, finding the right fit.
